The South Puget Sound volleyball team lost to Pierce College on Wednesday night. Pierce now remains undefeated in the West Region.
After a slow start in the first set, the Clippers Volleyball team got out to a quick lead in set number two and won by a score of 25-16.
The third set was a back-and-forth battle with no team ahead by more than 5 points at any time throughout the set. The Raiders ended up taking the set 25-21.
The Clippers battled through the 4th set but ended up losing 25-20, to lose the match 3-1. Khalia Craig and Jahnessa Hill led SPS in kills with 17 and 15, respectively. Emily Snider led the way with 22 assists and Silke Constant had 3 service aces.
"We had great energy in the second set and I was proud of the way we battled in the third and fourth sets. We know we have to come out of the gates better though, we don't want another first set like we had tonight" said Coach Tusalava Kuaea.
The Clippers are home again on Wednesday, October 20 when they take on Lower Columbia
