It was tough sailing for the Clippers this past week as they dropped both of their games against Tacoma and Highline this past week.
The first game of the week was their first look at Tacoma of the season as the Clips looked to get back in the win column after their loss at Clark. The first half was a tough defensive battle between both sides, as both the Clippers and Titans were reluctant to let their opponent get a leg up. Two shots from the Clippers and four shots from Tacoma did not lead to any goals scored in the first half as they went scoreless to the break.
Unluckily for the Clips, it was Tacoma one-way traffic in the second half as the Titans put up five goals on the Clips to take the three points for the day.
"We completely won the first half. We had possession the whole time and connected really well," said Sophomore Forward/Defender Grant Fischer after the loss against Tacoma. "Moving forward, if we bring that [energy] into Highline, we can definitely beat them."
Beating Highline is easier said than done and it did not come to fruition for the lads the following game as Highline went on a scoring spree and won the game by a score of 10-0.
The Clips look to shake off this ugly week and have a trip to Centralia to look forward to as they take on the Trailblazers for their lone game of the week on Wednesday, September 24.
