VANCOUVER, Wash. - The Clippers traveled south to face off with west region rival Clark College and came away with a 3-2 victory. Clark entered today's match with the second-best record in the region, but the Clippers were up for the challenge. The match started with Clark's goal in the ninth minute, giving them a one-nil lead until the twenty-eighth minute when Sophomore Yuta Shimazu scored an unassisted goal. Alonzo Ogaldez broke the tie in the fifty-eighth minute, but an own-goal in the sixty-third minute by the Clippers evened the match once more. The deciding goal came in the sixty-eighth minute as Alonzo Ogaldez assisted on a goal from Alexis Castillo-Corona.
The victory marks not only the Clipper's first win of the season but also the first collegiate victory for first-year head coach Kevin Schultz.
