Clippers Sign Bailey Armstrong
The Clippers have added a Middle Blocker for the 2020 season, Bailey Armstrong, a solid Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter who just completed her high school career at Soldotna High School in Soldotna, Alaska. As a three year starter and senior captain for the Soldotna Volleyball team her volleyball IQ will be a huge contribution to the Clipper Volleyball Program. Armstrong signed her NWAC Letter of Intent on Tuesday, March 10th at Coach Tusalava’s office at SPSCC with her mother alongside of her.
Over the last four years at Soldotna High School, Armstrong has racked up plenty of athletic awards such as; Coaches Award, Best Offensive Player and Most Improved. Academically she has been on the Honor Role majority of her academic career. Armstrong states, “I am most excited for being a part of another team, a family. Volleyball is something I have loved since I was in middle school and I’m happy to be a part of a family again. I am also excited to start my education towards something I have been wanting to do for a long time”.
Armstrong will be a huge impact for the volleyball program and the coaching staff are thrilled to bring Bailey in. Bailey’s court awareness and attacking skills will benefit us and help us run a fast offense. Her competitiveness will make an impact immediately and we can’t wait to watch her grow these next two years!” said Clipper Head Coach Tusalava Kuaea.
